We are seeking a Director of Occupancy Planning to join our leadership team responsible for supporting client account strategies and overseeing the delivery of Occupancy Planning services.
What this job involves
Key responsibilities include:
Accountable for the results and performance of the Occupancy Planning team and service delivery on the account
Translate our client's business requirements into action and successfully deliver OP services, leveraging JLL and industry best practices
Lead a team of Occupancy Planners in their delivery of occupancy, space and move projects; serve as liaison between the client and all other stakeholders
Excellent communicator capable of designing and delivering effective change management prior to, during and after a project process
Implement a continuous improvement and thought leadership program for OP, making us consistent across geographies and improving the quality of what we do
Import and export best practices and case studies between JLL, the wider industry and the account
Provide oversight and management to a robust space allocation methodology and process
Demonstrate the ability to successfully deliver a strategic real estate portfolio plan
Intermediate knowledge of key corporate real estate terminology
Proven ability to leverage utilization data to build a mobility strategy
Proficient in business intelligence and data analytics
Finance Management, Cost Control, and Profitability
Support the annual capital and operating budgeting and planning process
Support development and implementation of innovations, best practices, and standard operating procedures to elevate team, account, and enterprise performance
Supervisory Tasks
Manage Staffing Levels to ensure appropriate staffing at all sites
Ensure portfolio-wide consistency in delivery of services, by providing training and review of all deliverables
Proactively identify opportunities for efficiencies throughout the portfolio and through any recurring processes
Leadership/Staff Management
Lead and develop a professional, friendly, creative, energetic, and detail-oriented team in the delivery of extraordinary services
Engage additional resources from JLL's platform to handle peaks in demand
Provide excellent onboarding, training, and team-building
Actively support an environment of teamwork, co-operation, performance excellence and personal success
Participate in the individual performance management program and personal development planning for members of the team
Act as an ambassador for JLL, adopting and maintaining the firm's core values of Teamwork, Ethics and Excellence

Sound like you? To apply you need to be / have:
Bachelor's Degree in Occupancy Planning, Corporate Real Estate, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent
10+ years of experience in managing occupancy, space, move management, and change management processes across a broad geography, with an ability to work remotely and virtually
Previous management experience leading a team
Proficiency in a range of information technology tools and platforms
Strong working knowledge of architectural drawings and furniture systems
CAFM system and AutoCAD experience is required
Ability to successfully communicate with contractors, client representatives, customers and team members
Highly organized with strong analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact at an executive level
Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed
Preference for role to be based in the DC-Metro, 2-3 Days in office or Full time remote
