Job Summary
-
We are seeking Summer Managers to work from May to September in various outdoor pools and splash pads throughout Loudoun County. As a member of the leadership team, you will assist with the enforcement of rules, regulations, procedures, and operations. A successful candidate will have leadership experience, a strong focus on customer service and attention to details to assist with administrative duties.
We are currently hiring for the following location(s):
- Franklin Park, Purcellville, VA
- Lovettsville Community Center, Lovettsville, VA
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing operations of concession stands including daily travels to the bank, scheduling, ordering, and the opening and closing of outdoor pool sites.
- Sets up the pool for proper operation according to program grids, calendars, and posted hours; reconfigures pool as needed for special programs.
- Monitors safe use of pools by customers and responds to injuries that may occur in a pool environment.
- Completes daily and weekly chemical readings and maintains levels to health code standards in pools.
- Maintains emergency preparedness in the pool facility.
- Supervises and schedules Lifeguards and Water Attendant Staff.
- Maintenance and use of vehicle for occasional meetings, and bank visits.
- Prioritizing the health, safety, and company service standards to all our external and internal customers.
- Schedules and runs pool meetings and in-services as needed.
- Schedules pavilion and tent rentals using on-site technology and coordinates set-up for the events.
- Be the point of contact for all customer service needs and concerns.
- May perform other essential job functions specific to the position and department assignment.
Flexible availability is needed from May 2025 to September 2025.
Work schedule varies and will include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications
-
High School diploma or equivalent and one (1) year experience in overseeing aquatic or pool operations in a leadership role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Related degree or certification in Parks and Recreation, Environmental Education, and/or Natural Resources.
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification.
