Gundersen Health System is seeking a RN, Professional Development Nurse (Nurse Educator) to work with Ambulatory Care Departments supporting our Iowa clinic sites (home base Decorah, IA).

This is your opportunity to work in a highly adaptable and mission driven organization while doing the work you love in the beautiful coulee region.

What you will do:

  • 1.0 FTE, salaried role
  • Home base of Decorah with monthly travel to Postville, Lansing, Calmar, and Waukon; occasional travel to West Union, Fayette, Onalaska, and LaCrosse (fleet car available for travel).
  • On-site orientation required in LaCrosse or Onalaska for approximately 1 month.
  • Evaluate nursing practice, assess practice gaps, identify learning needs, participate in process improvement projects and initiatives both within area of responsibility and at the system level
  • Facilitates professional role development and growth of nurses and other healthcare personnel along the continuum from novice to expert.
  • Function as a change agent, mentor, facilitator of learning, leader, champion for scientific inquiry, partner for practice transitions, and advocate for thenursing professional development (NPD) specialty
What you need:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required
  • Master's degree in nursing required within 5 years
  • 3-4 yearsRN experience or equivalent required, Ambulatory Care RN experience preferred
  • RN licensure to practice in the state of Iowa and Wisconsin upon hire
