Position Overview:

PIMCO is seeking a Hedge Fund Treasury Operations Manager with at least 10 years of experience in treasury functions within a global investment bank or multi-strategy hedge fund. This role, part of the Trade Floor Operations team, will involve collaborating with Portfolio Management, Operations, and Technology to enhance the firm's global funding model for levered accounts, with potential scalability across the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Treasury Management: Oversee treasury functions with a focus on hedge fund and levered vehicles, including cash management, liquidity forecasting, prime brokerage, and funding strategies to ensure optimal capital allocation.

  • Global Funding Model Development: Lead the design and execution of a best-in-class global funding model for levered accounts, partnering with global colleagues to expand funding capabilities beyond USD.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Operations, and Technology teams to develop solutions that minimize funding costs and enhance operational efficiency in support of the firm's investment strategies.

  • Performance Analysis: Analyze treasury performance metrics and develop reports that reconcile performance and attribution systems, ensuring Portfolio Managers understand the impact of cash management and financing costs.

  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements within treasury operations, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with treasury operations.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including banks and financial institutions, to support the firm's treasury objectives.

  • Market Research and Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes affecting treasury operations, providing strategic insights to the firm's leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree or professional certification (CFA, CTP) preferred.

  • Minimum of10 years of experiencein a treasury role within a global investment bank or multi-strategy hedge fund.

  • Strong understanding of treasury management systems, cash management, prime brokerage and funding strategies.

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of varying asset classes such as equities, fixed income, alternative investments and derivatives (options, futures, forwards, swaps and credit).

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 215,000.00 - $ 305,000.00
