Admin Data Analyst - OBGYN

Description

The Department of OBGYN is seeking to hire a full time Business Intelligence Specialist 2 to complete the duties of Administrative Data Analyst. In this role you will be responsible for collecting, reviewing, and analyzing data for operational support, including workflow optimization for departments within the David Geffen School of Medicine. You will look for trends and associated outcomes for decision support. You will be responsible for design, development, testing, maintenance, and documentation of databases and applications for analyses and reporting. You will also assist with compiling information for publications and related projects. Lastly, you will report directly to the Director, Business Analytics & Quality Improvement, and will work as needed with colleagues in various departments and units.

Pay Range: $36.49 - $76.05 hourly.

Qualifications

Required:

  • At least 2 years or more experience in an academic healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and related.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize query database tools and reporting tools.
  • Ability to develop and maintain accurate and precise documentation.
  • Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload and diverse goals.
  • Ability to set and adjust priorities, provide realistic assessments of when projects will be completed and what resources will be needed.
  • Skill in analyzing information to identify problems, identify patterns and trends, recognize alternatives and implications.
  • Skill in preparing data reports.
  • Skill in working independently to coordinate tasks.
  • Skill in dealing with confidential material with tact and sensitivity.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.


Preferred:


  • Completed Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent)
  • Experience modeling and managing MySQL and/or Oracle databases and developing SQL scripts.
  • Experience with system administration and database maintenance in a heterogenous computing environment.
