SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

The Lead Technologist FinOps Project Manager role is responsible for cloud infrastructure administration, and asset and request management for various applications on AWS and Azure cloud platforms. The position involves maintenance of all administrative details (Application Ownership, Funding Source, Application asset collection, etc.) associated with the Application Groups that are housed on Amtrak's cloud platforms (AWS and Azure).

Management of the IT Demand Request (ITDR) Process, including processing the SNOW requests, preparing the ITDR document and deployment of an approved ITDR.

Assistance managing the PLMP requirements related to Cloud Solutions Capital Projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Managing IT Demand Requests for Cloud Infrastructure for various Application Projects

* Cloud asset management (AWS and Azure) - maintaining accurate information such as Application Ownership and Funding source

* Service Requests for updates, improvements, and changes to cloud assets

* Maintain Masterworks Project Controls including, but not limited to Scope, Schedule, and Project Details and Documentation.

* Partner with business partners to assess new and ongoing project requirements, that result in an ITDR, to determine readiness for review by the Cloud Solutions Team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's Degree required OR equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

* Experienced Office365 (Word, Excel and PowerPoint specifically) , SharePoint, Teams, ServiceNow, and Masterworks user

PMP in good standing

* Ability to organize and present project portfolio reports, proposals, and other related portfolio information

* Must possess strong project management skills with prior experience.

* Must be able to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment.

* Effectiveness in working diplomatically across teams with varying objectives.

* Strong oral, analytical, and written communication skills across all levels

* Must be self-motivated and able to work under pressure with short deadlines

* Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing, and implementing skills that allow the successful completion of tasks by a specific due date.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Understanding of the Amtrak Digital Technology Organization; Department and Organizational Structure

* Generalized understanding of Cloud Infrastructure (AWS & Azure)

* Experience with Federal Grant funding requirements

WORK ENVRIORNMENT:

* Sit at a computer to complete assignments, projects, and the majority of tasks.

* 75% Remote, 25% On-site, in Washington, DC

* Hours are 9AM-5PM, Monday - Friday

COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

The salary/hourly range is $94,300-$122,256, Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, internal equity, etc. Depending on an employee's assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee's base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position and/or long-term incentive plan compensation.
