ISO New England is the not-for-profit, independent system operator responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable flow of electricity in our region and planning for the future of the electric grid. We are at the forefront of New England's ongoing transition to clean energy.

We are looking for a talented payroll analyst to join our team in Finance. This position will have a full range of responsibilities from payroll processing, ensuring hours and schedules are accurate and complete, creating accruals and general ledger reconciliation, and assisting in various tax filings such as sales & use tax, property taxes, and other required filings.

How you will make an impact:



  • Managing the day-to day operations of payroll through the Dayforce/Ceridian Payroll system and the proper recording of payroll to the general ledger system as well as ensuring timely and accurate payrolls
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws
  • Verifying hours worked, paid time off, deductions and pay adjustments
  • Reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Keeping informed about changes in federal/state tax and deduction laws
  • Creation and distribution of reports as needed by management as well as union reporting
  • Assist in testing of software enhancements to the payroll and financial systems
  • Responsible for reconciliation of all payroll tax filings, preparing unemployment payments

  • Perform technical research using various platforms
  • Appropriately work with sensitive information
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team structure
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of office processes, procedures, and technology
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
