General Purpose of Job: Under general direction, Assist in day to day support of both physical and virtual desktop environments. Key to this will be the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and general support of the system management/presentation servers for the physical and virtual desktop environments. Provide information technology support to all SHS Caregivers with related issues. Assist in the development and on-going maintenance of various PC operating systems. Oversee all desktop, laptop, and handheld systems to ensure that each device starts-up in a timely and accurate fashion, the operating system and associated applications function appropriately, and time is minimized for Caregivers during the distribution of applications, patches, and updates. Emphasis for this position will be Ownership and Administration of the Citrix environment, administration of the SCCM desktop environment, and application packaging for both physical and virtual device platforms. Serves as subject matter expert and department coordinator on projects. Performs updates to moderately complex system or application installations, upgrades, configurations, and maintenance. - Responsible for managing the Printer and CSG ticket incident queues which include resolving, assigning,and triaging tickets through all levels of support including phones and on-site support.
- Packaging / Sequencing of SCCM and Citrix published applications
- Determine application packaging effort/cost for project planning and execution.
- Complete the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Citrix.
- Utilizing systems diagnostic and maintenance tools to ensure the availability and functionality of Citrix.
- Develop, configure, and deploy Enterprise Desktop and Laptop images.
- Perform quality assurance checks and peer packaging reviews.
- Reviewing and deploying service packs, hot fixes, security updates in accordance with best practices across Citrix on VMWare instances and deployments.
- A point of contact for all monitoring, troubleshooting and problem resolution of various components of the Citrix on VMWare infrastructure and services.
- Monitoring Citrix and Imprivata usage including access, load and usability issues.
- Performs updates to moderately complex system or application installations, upgrades, configurations, and maintenance.
- Acts as technical lead on Operational and Project initiatives.
Job Requirements
General Requirements |
* Current industry certifications in critical areas such as application packaging and systems management or administration preferred. * Microsoft, Citrix, Cisco, or Vmware certifications, preferred * Training or Certifications for support of the EMR system (EPIC, McKesson, Cerner), preferred |
Work Experience |
* Two or more years experience deploying and maintaining PC desktop & laptop computers. * Two or more years experience with application packaging and deployment technologies (Scripting Languages and Microsoft SCCM) * Two or more year(s) experience with application virtualization technologies (Citrix, Microsoft Application Virtualization) * Two or more years experience troubleshooting (issue resolution) in a complex application environment. |
Education |
* High School Diploma and 6+ years of relevant work experiences or 4+ years of IT work experience. * Associates Degree preferred. |
Specialized Knowledge and Skills |
* Broad experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. * Must be familiar with network architecture and have hands-on experience with large, complex Local Area Networks. * Experience with Windows 10/11, MS Server 2012/2016/2019/2022 and Citrix Server administration. Experience with various print server, single sign on, and antivirus technologies as an administrator. * Ability to work extended hours on short notice. * Ability to quickly learn new software and technologies. * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. |
