2025 HOSA Chaperone STATE Non-Stipend Category Position
We are seeking a non-stipend chaperone position for HOSA. This position is for a chaperone for an overnight HOSA State Tournament held in Springfield, IL from Wednesday March 17, 2025 (morning departure) to March 19, 2025. Chaperones will be paid a rate of $20/hour for all hours on duty. Hotel stay (President Abraham Lincoln Hotel), meals, and transportation will be covered. Chaperones will be expected to stay at the tournament site for the duration of competition events and would be responsible for ensuring students are in their assigned locations during the tournament, transport supplies to competition conference rooms, help coordinate meals, and be available to support a student and the team sponsor in case of emergency. Chaperones will be expected to travel on the bus to and from the tournament site and Niles West. Unless supervising students, meal periods are not compensable. Periods when the employee is sleeping are not compensable. The paid working hours (approximate) will be as detailed in the itinerary below: ITINERARY Niles West High School HOSA State Competition-Springfield, IL March 17-19, 2025 Time Frame Date Event 8:00 am to 11:00 pm (7.5 hours after 3:30 pm contractual time) Monday, March 17, 2025 1. Depart West at 8:30 a.m. 2. Lunch 3. Arrive at President Abraham Lincoln Hotel at 2:00 pm 4. 3:00 pm Competitions begin 5. Opening Session at hotel 6:00 pm 6. Room check 11:30 pm 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (7.5 hours after 3:30 pm contractual time) Tuesday, March 18, 2025 1.Competitions 2. 7 pm Dinner 3. Room check 12:00 am 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (1.5 hours after 3:30 pm contractual time) Wednesday, March 19, 2025 1. Breakfast 8:00 am 2. Awards Ceremony/competitions of events 8:30 am to 10:00 pm 3. Check out of Hotel and depart Springfield 10:30 pm 3.
