Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is looking for a Business Systems Analyst, to join our Information Technology (IT) team. The IT team is a vital component in KES' strategy to improve business performance through the application of technology and profitably transform our business. Working as an integrated group with the Construction, Engineering, Operations, Commercial and Financial technology product teams, we support businesses that design, build and maintain facilities for various industries across the world.

This role will partner closely with our Optimized Process Designs (OPD) business unit, located in Katy, TX.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders and IT capabilities to define problems, identify requirements, develop solutions and prove their value through experimentation and scalable deployment in our business. Leading in a collaborative environment, displaying creativity, and focusing on attaining positive business results will be necessary skills. You will need to be resourceful and capable of partnering with key stakeholder's, building relationships, and interacting with market solution providers to identify viable products that can accelerate progress of our business objectives.

What You Will Do

* Proactively connect with OPD stakeholders to build relationships with the goal of understanding their businesses process, goals and vision.
* Work cross functionally within OPD to seek alternative viewpoints on identified issues in the business such as process gaps, and technology pain points
* Effectively capture business requirements, map business processes, scope efforts, and develop functional specifications.
* Creatively problem solve by interpreting data, analyze findings and perform market research to draw conclusions on innovative solutions for identified business problems.
* Collaborate across IT teams (application development, infrastructure, and support) and with OPD stakeholders to determine the best solutions by researching alternatives, performing functional analysis, coordinating demos, , driving experiments, and implementing business transformation projects.
* Drive decision making when analyzing alternative solutions for business problems and the potential barriers / risks / consequences they could impose on the business.
* Communicate effectively to OPD stakeholders, IT teams and Leadership on status, risks and roadblocks, and aid team members to overcome obstacles by working collaboratively.
* Serve as the SME for planning and managing the implementation of a decided upon solution, including and any required integrations.
* Execute against a prioritized backlog to deliver highest value initiatives aligned with business strategies.
* Continuously seek to understand businesses IT needs with a drive to simplify and focus the overall footprint.
* Develop knowledge of supported business processes and system configuration to support, optimize and transform process across OPD.
* Stay current on technologies and best practices, ensuring that we are leveraging the best knowledge to achieve success.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Knowledge of developing / designing, configuring, testing and implementing IT solutions.
* Experience understanding and diagraming complex business processes, gathering functional requirements, providing support and guidance to internal IT teams and external vendors as they develop technical solutions.
* Experience with software development and the ability to understand back end coding
* Ability to guide stakeholders through problem definition, requirements gathering, conceptual experimentation and implementation.
* Proficient in working within cross-functional team environments through self-directed collaborative approaches.
* Ability to drive and achieve improvement opportunities focusing on root cause analysis to enable self-serve, automation, eliminating old process and technologies, and continuous optimization of our long-term valued systems
* Experience working with software vendors or software development to solve business needs.

What Will Put You Ahead

* Experience working in a construction environment, home office or field
* Experience with software development and current coding language
* Experience working within AGILE Teams and innovation frameworks.
* Experience with analytics tools and concepts such as Data lakes and/or Power BI.
* Experience working with global teams.
* Travel up to 10% of the time, economic conditions considered.
