WellSky is hiring a Sr. Quality Engineer in or willing to relocate to the Kansas City metro! The Sr. Quality Engineer is a key member of the team, contributing to foundational operations that directly impact the business, but also generating creative ideas and collaborating with teammates to improve products and solutions.

A day in the life!

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Designing, developing, and executing comprehensive automated test suites for web applications, APIs, and back-end systems
  • Creating, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts. Continuously improving existing automation frameworks and tools. Optimizing performance of test execution through innovation
  • Performing automated functional, application and regression testing, to ensure that developed products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards
  • Analyzing requirements and contributing actively to refinement sessions to ensure that requirements meet design specifications and standards
  • Participating in end-to-end testing coordination
  • Analyzing system logs, identifying, and investigating issues found during testing, assisting Software Engineers/PO's in triage and impact analysis
  • Executing performance tests within Scrum Teams to ensure early detection of issues
  • Assisting in troubleshooting and investigation of issues/concerns
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to understand project requirements and creating effective test strategies to ensure test coverage
  • Supporting UAT initiatives by providing data set up, accessing, and troubleshooting issues
  • Mentoring and guiding junior test automation engineers to foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested

Do you have what it takes?

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4-6 years proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer with a focus on creating automated test scripts.
  • Strong expertise in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Appium)
  • Proficiency in at least one programming languages such as JavaScriptand C#

Do you stand above the rest?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in test automation and quality assurance.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure)
  • Knowledge of performance and security testing
  • Experience with testing methodologies (e.g.,Agile,BDD)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

  • Performing other responsibilities as assigned
