Position Summary:

This role is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of the growing Pepper construction information technology team. This position will have responsibilities in supporting the organization throughout the Midwest specifically for day-to-day technical support for the three Pepper offices in Barrington, Des Plaines, and Chicago. This position will report to the Manager of Technical Services and will support and implement computers for our Chicagoland offices and construction job sites. This individual will perform other assigned IT duties as appropriate and be involved in technology projects and initiatives.

Major Responsibilities:



  • Basic network troubleshooting of connectivity issues for both offices and job sites.
  • MDM enrollment of Android and iPhone devices using Intune Company Portal, preferred.
  • Installation and support of all Office 365 products including MS Teams and other company software.
  • Utilize and manage vendors as required for special projects for items such as cabling, security cameras etc.
  • Experience utilizing an IT ticketing system to track and manage incidents and requests is highly valued.
  • Complete smartphone and tablet configurations to include setup of Multi-Factor Authentication-(MFA).
  • Responsible for asset management (KBOX). Asset database documentation and general knowledge of use.
  • Microsoft Endpoint Manager application packaging and deployment via Microsoft Intune is a plus.
  • Image, configure and setup of all associated peripherals for all new computers.
  • Conference Room support including MS Teams rooms experience required.
  • Technical training of personnel, smartphones, tablets, and other.
  • Printer and Copier configurations/scanning and troubleshooting.
  • Respond to Help Desk Calls, Walkups, and e-mail requests.
  • Knowledge of cloud\internet-based storage systems.
  • Office365 Administration a plus.
  • New Hire technical orientations.


Position Requirements:



  • BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Information Technology field.
  • Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role.
  • You will be required to travel regularly between our Chicago office and various construction job sites.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience writing, publishing, and updating knowledgebase articles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical prowess of IT systems and infrastructure.
