People * Customers * Trust IT Systems Engineer I - Counce, Tennessee General Summary: Provide support for end-user account management, maintenance, and support software/hardware on desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and kiosks. This position is part of the local plant Information Services department. This person will interface with internal and external end-users to support and maintain end-user computing needs. Reports to the Manager of Information Services. The facility is a 24x7 operation, rotational call duty is required. Basic Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Systems strongly preferred. Minimum of 1-3 years of recent work experience in help desk operation and end-user support. Should be familiar with investigating and resolving first-echelon help desk service requests, familiar with end-user provisioning in an Active Directory environment or other systems, familiar with desktop applications, operating systems, and network technologies and support of those systems, familiar with end-user devices and local and wireless networks, familiarity with IBM AS 400 operations a plus, and VOIP phone system. Knowledge-Skills-Abilities: Must have mastered basic keyboarding and editing skills. Must be Windows Operating Systems literate and have basic knowledge of computer hardware, software and network technologies. Must have strong organizational skills to handle numerous details, deadlines and requests. Must have the ability to adapt to and work effectively and independently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. Must be able to evaluate and prioritize tasks for efficiency and completeness. Must be an effective communicator, verbal and written. Must be able to work rotational call duty, after hours, and on weekends as assigned or needed. Competitive pay and benefit package.
