Overview Assist the Directors of Food and Beverage & Banquets in the day-to-day operations of the Banquet, Restaurant, Room Service and other food and beverage outlets as appropriate in order to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, compliance with corporate/franchise policies and procedures and federal, state and local regulations while meeting/exceeding financial goals.
Applications End: 1/17/2025 Responsibilities * Assist the Banquet & Outlet Teams in the administrative functions required for effective event and restaurant management. * Uses various computer word processing and other software packages to enter data, produce contracts, correspondence, forms, memorandum and other documents. * Promptly answer telephone calls following HEI Hotels and Resorts and brand standards using clear and positive communication. Respond to caller inquiries speaking in a pleasant manner. Exercise decision making skills to direct caller's request. Accurately record messages for staff and distribute the written messages to the staff members in a timely manner. * Distribute documents to appropriate persons and locations to ensure prompt processing of time sensitive information by hotel and supplier staff. * Handle individual reservations for VIP clients. Ensure that all arrangements, including upgrades, are handled properly, coordinating with each department through oral and written instruction. * Organize, file and retrieve documents in appropriate binders in order to maintain essential records used in the department operation. * Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. * Communicate incoming inquiry information accurately to manager and disseminate information and facts to relevant accounts and applicable departments. * Generate correspondence, proposals and contracts as directed by management. * Distribute contracts, outlet event orders, resumes, room requests, and amenities to relevant departments throughout the hotel, through systems provided. * Politely and professionally communicate with clientele and guests requests for information on hotel facilities and event needs. * Respond to inquiries with accurate information in a timely manner and record all relevant information accurately. * Keep an updated account for banquet revenue generated daily from banquet checks. * Daily printing needs for the Outlets and Banquet Teams. * Attend meetings and keep detailed notes and minutes * Daily pull event changes and banquet event orders and record in the proper areas. * Assist hotel departments in internal meetings and event needs. * Assist Managers in each department with daily communications and administrative needs. * Supervise service of guests, and monitor servers and support staff adherence to all service standards. * Check restaurants and event spaces for cleanliness and set up. Check service stands and aisle areas. Check tables for cleanliness and proper set up. * Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages. * Communicate daily with restaurant manager with regard to special events, house counts, etc. * Assist manager in conducting menu classes and taste panels. * Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff & other departments. * Perform any other job related duties as assigned. Including but not limited to; Hosting, Serving, Administrative needs, Directing and Leading Teams, Acting as Liaison for Event Contacts, Coordinating with Outside Vendors, ect. Pay Rate: $21.00/hr Qualifications
