Responsibilities

The Development Services Specialist is a member of the Development Services Group and is an essential part of the Integrated Development Team that incudes Development Services Officers (DSOs) and Relationship Managers (RMs). The incumbent achieves a level of team performance that maintains RM confidence in, and reliance on the team for essential support in frontline fundraising. The Development Services Specialist is expected to maintain a without-exception level of work-product quality and on-time task completion. Candidate should be based near a Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation facility to assist with in-person initiatives.

  • Development Services Group Team

    • Organizes and prepares requests from Development Services Officers for use by RMs/Donors

    • Materials include but are not limited to: impact reports and associated stewardship materials, donor and process partner briefings, gift agreements, donor communications

    • Seeks and gathers key statistics, narratives and information for RMs to include in donor conversations

    • Partners closely with Development communications team and other business units to ensure program content, stats, etc. are accurate and donor centric

    • Creates and maintains donor engagement calendar with opportunities and activities for prospects and donors

    • Provides admin support for leadership circles and grateful patient initiatives
    • P card and expense reports for Development Services Group

    • Schedules meetings and takes minutes for Development Services Group

  • Serve as administrative lead, coordinate various processes, and project management activities for the Development team.

    • Assist National Director with communications, coordination of trainings and scheduling

    • Assist in special projects as assigned by National Director, Development Services


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in business administration, communication, or related field or equivalent
  • 2 yrs. of non-profit fundraising related experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated attention to detail (including grammar and punctuation) and accuracy
  • Familiarity with CRM Salesforce and relational databases
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
