Title: Product Owner - Compliance

Reports to: VP of Compliance

Location: Topeka, KS/ Lenexa, KS - Onsite
Overview:
Are you ready to take the lead in driving innovative solutions and shaping the future of compliance and supervision technology in the financial services industry? We're looking for a dynamic Product Owner to join our AE Wealth Management team and play a key role in ensuring our systems and processes support our mission.
As a Product Owner, you will be the go-to expert for Compliance, Supervision, and Risk functions. You will bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities, leading the charge in designing and executing a roadmap for future enhancements. Your role will involve close collaboration with internal teams and clients, creative problem-solving, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
This role is situated in Kansas, and it is exclusively an on-site arrangement. Moreover, please note that the company does not extend sponsorship opportunities.
What you'll do:


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a unified work environment
  • Act as the key liaison between compliance and the Enterprise Project Management Office
  • Lead decision-making and articulate detailed requirements for compliance tools and processes
  • Oversee implementation timelines and feature development for key tools
  • Partner with Program Managers to maintain vendor relationships and ensure seamless program operations
  • Translate product strategy into actionable goals with Project and Program Managers.
  • Build and prioritize backlogs to deliver incremental value
  • Analyze business processes, uncover root causes, and propose effective solutions
  • Act as a subject matter expert in compliance, risk, and supervision functions with custodial partners (Schwab/Fidelity)
  • Stay updated on tools, practices, and regulations relevant to RIA compliance
  • Work with Project Management and Business Analysis teams for seamless execution
  • Use metrics to track outcomes and adapt quickly in an agile environment


Experience you'll bring:


  • 3-5 years of experience in financial services compliance, risk management, supervision, or equivalent business analyst experience
  • Exceptional organizational and self-management skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical information and translate it effectively for non-technical business units
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills
  • Tech-savvy and motivated to learn new tools and processes
  • Strong collaborative mindset, working seamlessly with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven solutions


Bonus Points:


  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  • PMI or Scrum Alliance Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
