Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Emergency Department Director (Multisite)

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: Onsite at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA and Sentara's stand alone ED in Lake Ridge, VA.

Position Summary:

Serve as mentor by role modeling a professional practice consistent with organization goals, customer service, clinical effectiveness, and standards of care.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible and accountable for daily Emergency Department operations.
• Responsible for the functioning and clinical care delivered in the unit.
• Leads the overall direction, budget and strategic planning of the unit.
• Contribute to the mission and goals of Sentara Healthcare as well as the requirements of all regulatory and/or accrediting agencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• BSN required - Master's degree preferred
• Trauma experience preferred
• Certified Emergency Nurse preferred
• Healthcare Management - 3 years
• Emergency Department experience - 2 years
