JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary of Position

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating clinical operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role involves training clinical staff, improving patient care processes, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting CHS mission to provide comprehensive, accessible, quality healthcare services regardless of income to promote wellness and restore health.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a comprehensive onboarding program for clinical staff to ensure they are trained to organizational policies, procedures, and clinical competencies.
  • Conduct annual skills competency reviews and audits of clinical support staff to ensure compliance with evidence-based practices, clinical protocols, and quality metrics.
  • Manage compliance with CLIA, HRSA, and OSHA and other regulatory bodies and facilitate training to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Perform regular quality and safety audits through onsite evaluations at all facilities of CHS to uphold clinical standards and organizational protocols.
  • Oversee the credentialing process including review and sign off for clinical support personnel to ensure compliance with credentialing standards.
  • Develop, review, and update clinical policies to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate to train clinical staff on electronic medical record platform while providing ongoing support and assisting based on established needs and through the EMR ticketing system.
  • Conduct regular audits of patient charts to ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulatory quality requirements, focusing on accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Facilitate BLS training for certifications and recertifications.
  • Analyze processes and data to identify opportunities for improving clinical workflows and implement efficiencies as needed.
  • Assist in the complaint resolution process to address clinical related issues.
  • Develop knowledge of quality improvement model as process improvements are found and needed.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Operations teams to align strategies and initiatives with the organization's overall goals, to promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Work with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient care and service delivery.
  • In collaboration with Practice Manager, conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement strategies for improvement.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
  • Ability to manage and mentor a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of FQHC operations, regulatory requirements, and patient care standards preferred.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and other healthcare technologies; experience with Athena EHR preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Level

A bachelor's degree in nursing, Registered Nurse (RN), is required.

Minimum Years of Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience, with a requirement for knowledge of primary care practices.
  • Minimum of two (2) years management experience.

Required Certification/Licensure

Active Indiana License as Registered Nurse (RN) is required.

$67,610.00--$101,430.00
