The Credit Analyst supports the portfolio management group and handles credit coverage for clients in the Data Center Industry vertical. The Analyst prepares analyses and conducts credit investigations of routine credit and prepares or assists in the preparation of credit reports for appropriate staff or committees. Assists with account servicing, credit administration, and documentation. Provides support with research and statistical analyses.

Job Accountabilities

  • Develops credit information for use by appropriate staff and committees in making decisions about credit arrangements for new, renewal, or extension loans.
  • Reviews all pertinent credit and financial information and determines the need for more thorough investigation or additional information. Analyzes information statements and related material and prepares thorough, well-written, and clear credit reports. Prepares summaries, presents facts, and offers opinions concerning creditworthiness. Understands and follows bank guidelines, policies, and procedures for the preparation and presentation of credit information.
  • Assists with credit administration, account servicing, development, packaging, closing, documentation, and monitoring.
  • Assists in the preparation of internal research and analysis, provides statistical reports, and verifies information. Prepares and delivers presentations on topics as assigned.
  • Develops and utilizes computerized spreadsheets, programs, and other automated tools for credit analysis, special projects, or presentations.
  • Maintains expertise in assigned industries or market sectors. Keeps abreast of industry trends and competitive environment.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related discipline, or equivalent related experience Required

Basic Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of general corporate credit analysis, credit and risk management is required
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English and strong analytical skill
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Word/Access/Excel
  • One (1) or more years of relevant experience in credit/finance, preferably in banking or financial services industry; or appropriate combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of financial analysis, including cash flow analysis, balance sheet analysis, profitability, liquidity, and solvency analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), taxation, legal forms of organizations, and business law.
  • Intermediate knowledge of financial modeling techniques and preparation of pro forma financial statements.
  • Ability to perform discounted cash flow analysis, capital budgeting (internal rate of return, net present value, etc.), and equity valuation calculations.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent customer service focus and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
