SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Director, Pricing and Ancillary Strategy is responsible for creating pricing and ancillary architecture to drive revenue growth. This role closely interfaces with RM, E-commerce, Loyalty, and other commercial and technology teams. Collaboration with other groups is critical when creating new offers, fare structures, customer segments and then retailing/merchandising these offers. This role is key in the delivery of the ridership and revenue goals of the Annual Operating Plan. Nearly 100% of Amtrak ticket revenues are directly attributable to the pricing elements managed by the Director, Pricing & Ancillary Strategy. The Director regularly reports to senior management and other Departments on the status of Pricing. This role has both strategy and operations components and includes leading staff responsible for both pricing strategy and analytics, and pricing operations. Amtrak has taken initial steps towards implementing a NextGen Reservation System that will directly impact the Pricing department workflows and strategies. This role will be a key stakeholder in this and other technology projects. As the landscape continues to change, this role will need to ensure staff continue to learn/retain technical expertise necessary for their roles. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Data Science or similar focus (or equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience) MIMINUM KSA (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: WORK ENVIRONMENT: COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. The salary/hourly range is $163,000-$211,140. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee's assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee's base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position and/or long-term incentive plan compensation.
