JOB DESCRIPTION:

Shift will be Monday - Friday 2pm-10pm as well as some Saturdays 12pm-12am with incentive pay.

Entry level starting salary: $19.60/hr for bachelor level with less than 2 years of previous job-related experience; master level candidates start at $20.88/hr with less than 2 years of previous job-related experience.

Degree needs to be in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related mental health field.

This is a remote position however due to some assessments requiring in-person interviews, the candidate will be required to reside within a catchment area of 2 hours or less from the Highland Rim Area Crisis region which consists of the following counties: Coffee, Bedford, Franklin, Moore, and Lincoln.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Responsible for providing face to face, phone, and telehealth crisis response and assessment services to those individuals who are experiencing any mental health crisis. Provides support and linkage to other area resources with follow up services to individuals in crisis and their families. Represents Centerstone in a professional manner when interacting with external entities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide coverage of crisis service beyond scheduled work hour/shifts and as assigned by crisis service supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records of all contacts and enter all data in a timely manner.
  • Client's follow-up needs are documented for Team follow-up.
  • Deescalates crisis situations as needed.
  • Thorough assessment of risk of harm to self or others is clearly documented and plan to assure safety is thorough and feasible.
  • Make appropriate referrals for least restrictive treatment possible to ensure psychiatric needs are being met as evidenced by documentation.
  • Clinician makes every effort to respond to calls promptly.
  • Creates an atmosphere of cooperation with Centerstone departments, community agencies, mental health consumers, and the public at large.
  • Attend all team meetings, clinical supervision and completes online trainings as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and competency in the utilization of Centerstone programs and other community resources.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention skills.
