Under general supervision, facilitates various services provided for students in the Valentine School of Nursing, including application and admission, registration, informal advising, record keeping, and graduation; implements appropriate academic policies and procedures; prepares and maintains databases; prepares reports; gathers and maintains accurate and confidential records and files; creates word documents and correspondence; creates and maintains files and generates reports. Implements appropriate academic policies and procedures; answers questions concerning programs for students; disseminates information and distributes materials. Records meeting minutes and oversees several student events.

  • Serves as initial contact person regarding student services; implements appropriate academic policies and procedures; answers questions concerning programs for students; disseminates information and distributes materials; assists with meeting preparations and recruiting events.

  • Retrieves application documents; prepare applications for review; informs students of internship requirements and monitors placement; processes registrations, class and schedule changes, and paperwork related to the human resources functions; composes correspondence; performs word processing duties; updates various publications, program fliers, and documents.

  • Verifies course requirements; may perform limited academic advising; assists faculty advisors with monitoring of student progression through the program; processes petitions for academic program changes; processes application for degree candidates; updates academic records; updates faculty and advisor information in courses; assists students with class information; completes verification of education for graduates; distributes orientation information; receives and tracks various documents.

  • Provides administrative support for the school's management; updates database information to track student progression, curriculum plans and clinical compliance; prepares and maintains confidential files.

  • Coordinates records between University departments; serves as liaison within the particular school; assists faculty with student information for records; provides student and enrollment data for internal and external statistical and annual reports.

  • Works with co-workers to store and maintain office supplies for the floor; maintain workroom area; assist faculty, staff, students and other visitors by directing them and answering questions; assist with mail flow.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and experience equivalent to:

Training beyond high school, with associate's degree preferred; supplemented with two (2) years of related work experience.
