Job Summary
The School of Business at Elmhurst University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. Applicants must possess a PhD or DBA in supply chain and operations management or related disciplines at the time of appointment. Preference will be given to applicants with a strong background in business analytics and management science. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to supply chain management and business analytics as well as manage the master's in supply chain program. The candidate is expected to establish an active research program in the above areas or a closely related field. The position would commence in the 2025-2026 academic year.
Essential Functions

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses related to supply chain management and business analytics.
  • Manage the Master's in Supply Chain Management Program.
  • Be flexible relative to the teaching schedule.
  • Attend regular School of Business and University meetings.
  • Leverage Blackboard learning management system and publishers' online learning materials.
  • Advise assigned students for both registration and career development.
  • Participate in the School of Business/University's shared governance with participation in councils, boards, and/or committees.

Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD or DBA in supply chain and operations management or related disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant industry experience.

Work Hours
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object. Occasional evening and weekend obligations.
