Parking Engineer Internship
Location: Kalamazoo
Job Summary
Fishbeck is seeking a passionate civil or architectural engineering student for an internship position. The ideal candidate will be committed to high-quality work performance, clear communication, teamwork, and learning. We are committed to attracting and developing the next generation of great engineers!
Primary Functions


  • Collaborate with the Parking Department on various projects, including parking planning and studies, new parking structure design, and parking structure restoration.
  • Assist in office design work, field evaluations, report writing, and construction administration.
  • Work closely with technical staff to support project development and execution.
  • Help solve complex engineering problems by applying practical knowledge and innovative approaches.
  • Engage in all stages of project delivery, from design through implementation.



Minimum Physical Requirements
Occasionally exposed to light lifting, sitting, and walking. May perform duties in the field and will be required to access and maneuver around project sites and use a computer. Capable of traveling to and from projects is occasionally required. Ability to use equipment for communication and documentation purposes. Visual acuity to perform responsibilities.
Desired Education
Enrolled in an Accredited Civil or Architectural Engineering program
Desired Skills/Experience


  • Willingness to learn and contribute to a variety of challenging projects.
  • Previous internship experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills are essential.
  • Enthusiasm for collaborating with project teams in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.
