The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is growing rapidly and is seeking new members on our Reconciliation team. Our primary goal is to provide exceptional administration servicing for our clients' assigned alternative investment funds, mutual funds, or ETFs. As a supervisor, you will act as an intermediary between the funds and the fund accountant teams to ensure the reconciliation of custodial and prime broker accounts are accurate. You will train and supervise the operation analysts on the team.

What you'll do:

  • In the reconciliation function, you will be working closely with Fund Accounting and Portfolio Accounting teams to understand the client's portfolio and fund structure as well as to ensure all required deliverables are complete. To do this, you will perform various types of reconciliations to ensure that data is accurate and client service expectations are met.

  • You will coordinate opening (and closing) of new (or terminated) accounts. Additionally, you will help to manage the documentation of processes and procedures relating to individual client needs.

  • Your due diligence and attention to detail during the review process of the operation analysts work will be key to your team's success while striving for error free reconciliations and reporting.

  • You will assist the manager with conducting performance appraisals, monthly one-on-ones with the team analysts and provide career pathing and training. You will also ensure staffing requirements are met by participating in analyst interviews. You will partner with the manager to provide and foster a team environment to include individual development, promotions and disciplinary action.

  • You will communicate with appropriate internal teams or client teams to resolve open issues and questions, reaching out to internal technology support and vendor support when necessary to resolve any production issues or system support queries.

What we need from you:

  • BA / BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.

  • 2 years experience in financial services, investment industry.

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.

  • The self-motivation, organization and drive to complete multiple client deliverables in a timely manner without sacrificing excellence or quality.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as you will primarily support your clients through email and/or phone calls.

  • Strong customer service skills as you will be communicating daily with your clients and other service providers.

  • Regular and reliable attendance in accordance with position, business and/or client needs.

What we would like from you:

  • Extensive knowledge of the financial services industry, security markets and investment types.

  • Experience with various instrument types including equity, fixed income and derivative markets and demonstrated knowledge of security terms and conditions relative to each asset type.

  • Understanding of the pricing and valuation of various asset classes including experience with security level pricing verification processes.

  • Strong working knowledge of industry trends and regulatory environment.

  • Ability to interact and build effective working relationships with peers and senior management.

  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-intensity working environment with multiple and diverse responsibilities.

  • Ability to analyze issues quickly and independently and take appropriate action under tight time constraints.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to take on additional responsibility quickly.
