Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of a generative AI platform, ensuring optimal integration with enterprise systems and standards.

  • Collaborate closely with a small team of talented engineers to innovate and extend platform capabilities.
  • Develop cloud service architectures that are specifically optimized for enterprise AI consumption, leveraging the latest Azure and AWS offerings.
  • Foster customer value by incorporating the latest Generative AI technologies and methodologies.
  • Drive the strategic development of the platform's architecture, ensuring it adheres to cost-effective and scalable cloud practices, while identifying impactful new features and trends.
  • Liaise with AI specialists from across the company to understand requirements for and incorporate features in a rapidly evolving environment, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.
  • Provide technical leadership and insight to stakeholders and team members, aligning the platform development with business goals and technology trends.

Critical Deliverables

  • Architect and implement an efficient, effective, and safe generative AI platform that meets the needs of our business.
  • Ensure that the platform aligns with well-architected framework principles and leverages modern cloud services.
  • Identification and delivery of the most impactful AI tools and methodologies through a philosophy of customer obsession.
  • Maintain documentation and architecture blueprints that guide the platform strategy and operational runbooks.

Impact

  • Propel business innovation by providing access to state-of-the-art generative AI capabilities via the platform.
  • Generative AI will enhance the company's competitive edge in the market through easy access to capabilities that can improve customer interactions, improve operational efficiency, and create new products.

Key Areas of Focus

  • Platform Development: Design and implement the AI platform that supports advanced generative AI concepts and methodologies.
  • Cloud Optimization: Utilize cloud resources effectively to maximize speed of delivery and minimize custom development where practical.
  • Agile and DevOps Practices: Implement agile methodologies and DevOps practices to accelerate the platform's development and deployment cycles.
  • Talent Cultivation: Mentor and grow a team of engineers with varying specialties.

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of platform development and deployment at the scale of large enterprises.
  • 7+ years of hands-on cloud platform engineering experience preferably with some AI experience
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks relevant to cloud development such as Kubernetes, Serverless, and cloud PaaS offerings.
  • Knowledge of foundational Generative AI concepts such as prompt engineering, RAG, finetuning, etc.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure specific to AI deployments, including cost optimization, AI PaaS deployments, etc.

Business and Sector Expertise

  • Experience in industries that utilize AI and cloud with large amounts of varying data types, such as technology, finance, healthcare, or media.
  • Insight into the regulatory and compliance aspects of deploying platforms in regulated or mission critical business operations.

Compensation/Benefits Information (New York applicants only):

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $183,000 - $340,000. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
