The Environmental Health & Safety Specialist will ensure compliance with all regulations and policies for environmental, health, and safety services across multiple facilities.

This opportunity is based in Lebanon, Indiana and is an onsite role at our Parts Depot daily (Monday-Friday). This is not a remote opportunity.



Responsibilities

    Designs, develops, implements, and coordinates the organization's environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs and procedures to safeguard employees and to ensure that all facilities are in compliance with regulations.
  • Develops recommendations to prevent incident occurrences, promotes safety conscious work performance, and training programs applicable to the depot's policies and processes.
  • Assists depots in pollution prevention and waste minimization programs through monitoring and technical mentorship.
  • Collects, analyzes, and publishes EHS metrics for multiple locations within the region.
  • Conducts job risk assessments, safety audits, and investigations to ensure compliance with government safety and health laws, standards, and regulations.
  • Builds and manages EHS training programs. Maintains applicable training records for multiple locations.
  • Manages worker's compensation claims in partnership with local Human Resources department and Operational Leaders.
  • Responsibilities are within the EHS job family as a generalist or in a combination of functions.


Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (Environmental Health, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, etc) with a minimum of 1 year of EH&S experience, OR
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience plus 3 or more years of EH&S experience OR
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience plus 5 or more years of EH&S experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional Certification (CSP) preferred
  • Continuous Improvement process experience, including tracking and data analytics
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with teams remotely
  • Strong computer skills

The annual salary for this role is $61,125-$89,650 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
