Chentronics LLC is seeking a Quality and Certification Specialist to join our team in Norwich, NY. We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team member who is ready for a heavy collaboration-based role. This role is pivotal in ensuring our products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements while also contributing to quality control or engineering initiatives. The successful candidate will split time between certifying products and contributing to either quality control or engineering projects, depending on expertise and interest.

What You Will Do

Certification
* Attain a working knowledge of all relevant certification specifications.
* Develop a budget for all certifications annually.
* Monitor existing product certifications and report when changes/retesting is required.
* Strategically plan projects based upcoming standard updates.
* Perform gap analyses between existing standards and upcoming update.
* Identify preferred and alternate testing facilities for all relevant testing requirements on an ongoing basis.
* Maintain knowledgeable contacts at each facility to aid in resolving issues and increasing understanding.
* Be an active participant in Design Reviews. Help identify problem areas.
* Oversee the certification process and maintain forward momentum on all testing and remediation as required.
* Work with Quality Control group to ensure all production documentation methods meet certification requirements needed to pass factory inspection

Quality Control/Engineering

* Develop and implement quality assurance protocols to enhance product reliability and performance.
* Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Analyze quality data and implement corrective actions to address issues.
* Contribute to the design and optimization of products, ensuring manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
* Support the development of technical documentation and specifications.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Experience in product certification, either at a certification agency or performing product certifications within a company.
* Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Effective communication and project management abilities.

What Will Put You Ahead

* Quality control/ Engineering degree or relevant experience
* Proficiency in quality control tools and techniques or engineering software.
