Full-time Faculty Positions Full-time faculty positions will be posted on a per-opening basis. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Individuals may enter expressions of interest by submitting their credentials to any posting for which they are qualified to teach. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Screening of individuals in the pool is ongoing, depending on curricular need and funding. Individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching a particular course or set of courses. The pool will remain in place until the closing date specified in the posting details; those interested in remaining in the pool beyond that time must resubmit. Apply for this Job Posting DetailsJob ID: 151481 Rank: Instructor/Professional LecturerCollege/School: Chicago, IL - College of Science and Health Responsibilities:The Department of Health Sciences in the College of Science and Health at DePaul University in Chicago invites applications for a Professional Lecturer/Instructor faculty position (non-tenure track) starting September 1, 2025. Teaching responsibilities will include core undergraduate courses in the department and new courses aligned with the candidate's expertise. We seek an expert in public health who can teach courses such as Public Health, Health Care Policy, Community Health Assessment, Epidemiology, and/or related courses. Qualified candidates may have the opportunity to teach in the Master's in Public Health (MPH) program. Applicants must have a strong commitment to education in a diverse environment and an interest in contributing to a multidisciplinary department. Our department serves a diverse student body of over 500 undergraduate students pursuing a BS degree with concentrations in Bioscience or Public Health Sciences, and over 40 students in the Master of Public Health program with concentrations in Community Health Practice or Social Epidemiology. A Master in Gerontology is in development. Our faculty train students to address individual and community health challenges using a collaborative approach that combines natural and social scientific perspectives. Our faculty collaborate with external partners in Chicago and beyond, as well as across university departments. The initial appointment is for one year, with potential for renewal. Faculty members teach nine courses per year, spread across three 10-week quarters during the 10-month academic year (Sep - Jun). Service to the department also is expected. About the College The College of Science and Health is the third largest college at DePaul, enrolling over 3,000 students. The college includes programs in health sciences, biology, neuroscience, speech language pathology, occupational therapy, psychology, nursing, environmental science and studies, chemistry and biochemistry, mathematics, and physics and astrophysics.
